American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing

According to CBS Dallas, an American Airlines flight on its way from Dallas Fort Worth Airport to Seattle on Wednesday night declared an in-flight emergency and returned to DFW Airport after fire was seen shooting from one of the plane's wing's. Flight 438 had just taken off when people on board say they heard a boom followed by flames shooting from a wing of the Airbus 321 aircraft. According to the airline, the engine of the plane was never on fire with the problem being caused by a compressor stall. Following the emergency landing, DFW Airport spokesman David Magana said no one on the aircraft was reported hurt after the plane safely taxied back to the gate.
