ALL-WHITE!!! Yep, it’s a charter!
The Chicago Blackhawks Hockey team wings its way east to Detroit Metro Wayne KDTW / DTW on the 30th of March for the next day’s match-up against the Detroit Red Wings. They ended up blowing out the Red Wings that Sunday 7-1 on NBC.
This aircraft previously flew for MaxJet Airways ( IATA: MY ICAO: MXJ Callsign: Max-Jet), an American, transatlantic, all-business class airline that had a very short operating life between 2003 and 2007. Along with Eos, this was one of the airlines I really liked and always regretted that I never was able to get a video of it much less a picture. I loved the idea from the start even though it never turned into anything significant. It served (many of my favorite airports) Los Angeles International KLAX / LAX , Las Vegas McCarran Int’l KLAS / LAS , John F. Kennedy Airport, New York KJFK/ JFK , Manchester EGCC / MAN and London Stansted Airport EGSS / STN for example. As a premium economy, transatlantic low-cost airline, MaxJet did not fare well due to fuel, salary and unforeseen costs. There was talk that MaxJet would return but so far nothing has materialized.
Currently, this aircraft operates for Swift Air ( Q7, SWQ, Callsign: SwiftFlight) which is based in Phoenix at Phoenix Sky Harbor KPHX / PHX. This aircraft has recently served as the charter aircraft for the Chicago BlackHawks NHL Professional Hockey Team and other NHL Teams.
