Qantas Glitch Causes Cheap-As-Chips Flights From Australia to Los Angeles

Qantas seemed to be pretty much giving away flights to Los Angeles from Australian cities on Wednesday morning. People were quick to cash in on return flights for as little as 444 dollars. The cheap flights were first spotted on U.S. website Hopper.com, with the fares sinking to an all-time low for different dates between July and the start of September.
It indicated the low fares were due to a "flash sale," which would be running for a few days, or until the flights were no longer available. But the Australian airline claims it was all one big accident. As Qantas was contacted for comment, the prices disappeared from both websites, with a message saying "Update: Qantas ended this sale at 11:30am, Sydney time, after more than 12 hours."
