Skiathos Airport – Scary Go Around – Thomson Airways Boeing 757-28A (Must See!)

"Thomson 78C" from London Luton Airport is seen here making its first attempt at landing at Skiathos Island National Airport. The aircraft aborted this landing due to severe cross winds of up to 40 knots. After its second and unsuccessful attempt, the aircraft diverted to Athens International Airport. Before returning to Skiathos four hours later, safely. Due to the short runway and all landings being performed manually, many airlines operate a two captain policy on every flight into Skiathos. Including Thomson Airways.
